We started Battle for the Troops in 2015 with two goals in mind. First we wanted to provide competitors, and their families and guests, with at great competition experience. The second goal was to raise money for veteran and local charities. Since our family started this event we have raised over $2000 for organizations like Wounded Warriors Project, Gary Sinise Foundation, Turning Pointe Autism Foundation, Inspire A Generation Foundation and making care packages for an Illinois State National Guard unity stationed in Afghanistan.
As a veteran of the USAF and a father of two USMC veterans, I am proud to help out the men and women of our armed forces. For 2023, we will be raising money for Wounded Warriors Family Support Foundation. This organization helps provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.
We hope you will join us at this great sport martial arts event and help us reach our goal of donating $500 to $1000 towards this great cause.
